Boy have I come a long way since the first version of my personal page. I originally started one to just claim my name in the domains and needed something catchy while job hunting. I had a pretty ambitious idea at the time and really wanted to treat it more as an art project. Unfortunately, I was both inexperienced in all the frameworks and unfamiliar with 3d modeling to realize my vision. I was still happy with what I had created though. It really introduced me to the limitless possibilities with modern sites.
Fast-forward to sometime around 2018. I had forgotten about my little piece of internet real estate until I caught a glimpse of it in my bookmarks. Armed with updated skills, I decided it was time for a rebuild.
First step was designing the landing page. Again, I had a particular vision for the page that required me to expand my skills once again. I wanted to build on what I had done before and make it have more interactive elements. So I set that aside while I brushed off something I hadn't looked into in a long while, 3d modeling. I actually didn't make any progress on that until the pandemic hit.
I had such a blast just playing with 3d modeling, that I forgot why I had even picked it up again. Rather I found myself wondering why I didn't sooner. It was only when I stumbled upon a friend's blog that it all came back to me at once and I resolved to finish this project.
I am really happy with how this render turned out and I will probably dedicate a couple posts to the force to be reckoned with that is blender.
Anyway I have so many projects and experiments in mind and I hope I can fill this site with whatever I can along the way!
